Thank God It’s Over…..

I reckoned i flunk it this time. This was by far the worst exam i have ever sit in my entire’s uni history. Conference organising is not helpin either. I had to juggle in the 24 hours leadin to the exam, the countless manuals of Oracle jargons as well as preparing all printing materials to meet the printer’s friday deadline. It was a nightmare… a night i would hope not to repeat in anytime in the near future (conventional wisdom says that AC does that to NGS)…..

Shortly after the three hours struggle, i visited our ghetto to meet with Sharon to finalise all the materials. we went over to the printer to discuss about our printing needs and submitted whatever we have.

i can feel a huge sign of relief from sharon’s face after we left the printer. i was too tired to allow my face muscles making those expressions. oli (sharon’s son) gave us the occasional laughters and the innocent child to vent our frustrations at….

on that note, zi hao and adrian have not slept either, helpin me finishing all the documents through the lonely nights and 56k modem (we are talkin about files at least 10 MB). knowin how technology-savvy adrian is, to span 2 hours in downloading/uploading a file can be quite a frustrating affair.

oh well.. thanks guys.. its over, at least for now….three weeks more to go of excruciating pains, and i shall return to a ‘normal’ international student mode…i wish it could be as easy as switchin different modes in icq….

the next few days will be spent in finalising conference stuff: rego, formal dinner, documentations, files… the list goes on……oh well…three weeks…

Happy Birthday to FHBDKQ

Its official now… as reported by Pat in his blog and confirmed by Zamil himself… Zamil made it to the top 30 of Malaysian Idol… YOHOOOO… GOOOOO ZAMIL….

Im thinking of setting up a fan website for him…. perhaps with Pat as the moderator as well..what do u think Pat?? to update the details of his progress… and perhaps…. set up a campaign fighting fund to make sure he win the Malaysian Idol on behalf of his fan in the OZ land…..

We might need some cooperation from Zamil for his pictures and his thoughts though.. hehe.. Zamil, have u got an agent already???? Hahaa…

This should be cool….

Anyway…. im taking a break now from my exam… its tomm.. hiks hiks…..the third one…..

I have not slept. There is no way i can rest with the amount of materials to cover for both exam next tuesday and friday.

Occasionally, there are few things that kept me excited like reading blogs, AX Sale, etc.

Zamil, a friend of mine, is currently on the first few rounds of Malaysian Idol. I have just received an SMS from him saying that they scaled the group down from 120 to 75 to 50 and he is in the 50. They are scaling it to a group of 30 today. GO ZAMIL!!! All the best for you. I still remember him singing Bocelli’s Conte Partiro song when i was about to leave to the States….. I want to see him sing now!!!!! urrghhh… hehehe….

Me off to studyin again….. Gorilla is off to Malaysia for good today (after the flight being delayed for one day)… and Jelita is off to Malaysia for holiday tommorrow……To think about it, i have more Malaysians friends than Indonesians….hmmmm……

Devide Et Impera

2004
06.18

This is gonna be my strategy in life: ‘devide et impera’

my first introduction to this tactic is sad but its true; this tactic was used by the Dutch to colonise Indonesia for 350 years.

i have just talked about it with my parents yesterday. and much of it is true. and it is still being used by America to spread its modern imperialism to the third world countries this day.

without realising, i have been using it to handle most of the things in life when completion seems unattainable.

“Devide Et Impera” will and should be my strategy to achive life to its fullest extent. Because it can.

slap me and i will go

night’s silence kept me awake. i couldnt rest my eyes. my thoughts are on different predicaments that i dont even want to start thinking.

all that is left has gone. i have no more to look for. at least for now. apart from the usual hate-love exam story.

double life i have lived and double life i would continue to live. i cannot seem to find the meeting point. they are set parallel to each other and they will always be. any tangent to both will cause unbalanced and dramatic impacts on the yin and yang. maybe it is double jeopardy.

everyone seems to have mind their own things. i am a man of empathy. cry sickens me yet cry enlightens me. what a sick bastard i am.

attention seekers are on my highest list of evil characters. may they burn in hell. i dont even know what my soul is shouting now. it is quite loud but cannot be deciphered. too vaque. reality is hard to face.

dream on. nothing to stop you. even though it is just a thought. i cannot offer a price nor can i auction it. it is there for a reason.

as i posted earlier: [april 03,2003]

down down down you all sinners. faced with terminal decision but care for earthly desire and pleasure stop you. this is how far you have been and this is where things gonna stop revolving. pick up that gun and smell the smoke coz that day, you will wear a true smile you have been wanting to have and say ‘i did it’ for the first time in your life

missing my parents

my parent left early yesterday to brisbane… and they will leave OZ on sunday…. wont see them for another six months when they come for my graduation, thats assuming im graduating….urghh

TWO down TWO to go

i had my audit paper today.. and i broke the previous record, i left 45 minutes early!!! i was too excited with the fact that i would meet my parents later….

me and my sis then frantically cleaned up the whole apartment to the state where i have never seen it like this before :P

we met our parents later and joined their tour group. at night, they came over to my place. my mum objected heavily to sasha and chester’s presence. my dad mentioned the cost of keeping them.

i think its official now. i might not apply for PR and instead go to China after my degree for about a year. i will then have to return back to indonesia to help with my family’s business. my dad definitely needs a hand…and there is no other person than me…thats after i master some chinese of course :P

i havent slept since yesterday and dying to have one now!!

I knew it and it is finally confirmed. Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia is a more expensive city than Singapore, Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia or Melbourne of Australia.

The recent study released by Mercer Human Resource Consulting released the latest report which ranked Tokyo and London as the most expensive cities in the world. Sydney ranked 20th. Jakarta ranked 45th, Singapore 46th, Melbourne 67th and Kuala Lumpur at 104th. The latest study has also incorporated the recent fluctuations in the foreign exchange movements…..

The cheapest cities in the ranking are: (141) Buenos Aires, Argentina; (142) Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; (143) Montevideo, Uruguay; and
(144) Asunción, Paraguay.
