Blog Review: A Journey Through Life
I told you about BlogShares and how excited i was to be part of it. Well, this is a mission to earn me more B$… the total prize is B$1 Trillion, with a consolation prize of B$500 Billion per entry.
Anyway, the blog im reviewing is authored by Laila*, a top player in BlogShares (she gave 5000 chips to help me start!!). I will review the blog in two parts:
Blog Layout
The first thing that came to my mind when i opened the blog in my browser is Pink. and i dont like Pink as a colour. im a pinkphobia. however, the neat arrangements of all little things that were placed on the right-side bar impressed me. they negate my unfavorable first impression on the blog’s colour. under Laila’s photo, there are icons representing chat clients and various ways you can get in contact with her. an internet-savvy lady is the thought that crossed my mind. so all her friends, you have no excuse to not contact her
the layout of individual posts are of typical blogs’ entries. they are neat, with butterfly attached on every single post’s title. The font used creates an easy read for visitors, with occasional but proper use of text bolding.
My take on Blog Layout: 3 Stars (out of 5)
Content
The content is the one that blew me. Laila wrote practically everything under the sun – from BlogShares, Movies, Technology, Gadgets, Politics, Community.
Her aspiration to one day become President of the Phillipines is not far-fetched. After all, the Phillipines has produced many strong female presidents before. The only thing is, she probably have to either: (1) become an actresss or (2) marry her way into the president’s clans family. Both are achievable.
Various links were provided especially a stand-alone page dedicated to her country. CIA Fact Book or Wikipedia will not match the links provided in this page. If you want to know anything about the country, i highly recommend it!
She champions Sponsor-a-child donation through her involvement in BlogShares, underscoring her sense of responsibility to those around her.
The list of birthday reminders is awesome. it would be good though if she could provide a link to those in the list who owned a blog (which would be hard coz she used birthday alarm to generate the list).
My take on Content: 5 stars (out of 5) — very pleasant read.
Overall
Changing the colour from pink to a more neutral colour might create better impression on pinkphobia species like me
While it underlines her status as a woman, her beautiful picture already projects that.
I recommend this blog for anyone who want to have interesting read of a very interesting woman and the world around her. Hopefully, one day, we can provide the support in her bid to the presidency
Blog’s Overall: 4.5 stars (out of 5)
