Over the induction, one of divisional head gave the key things he wants to see from new hire: passion, skills and dissatisfaction. it struck cord with me. passion and skills are the key theme that’s constant throughout the leader’s perspective. the CEO has blurted out the mantra, in order to be successful, you not only have to enjoy what you are doing or be good at what you are doing, but you have to have both. it’s so true.
but the third part is what blew me away. i thought i have always been a pessimist (and to some extent i still see that i am), dissatisfaction with self is what truly describe me. while greed is easily the markers for the borderlines, i always try to tread thin within the confines.
i hope it will lead me somewhere better
